Arts & Business NI Trusts & Foundations Symposium 2020
25th March 10.30am to 4.00pm
The Mac, Belfast
Meeting a prospective funder face to face is the quickest way to cultivate a relationship and take the first step in completing a successful application. This year Arts & Business NI will host their eighth annual Symposium and over the years have facilitated over 500 one-to-one funding surgeries, which have helped generate substantial amounts of money and support for the Cultural Sector in Northern Ireland.
This year attendees will hear directly from the Foundations on their funding priorities and top tips for successful applications. The plenary session will once again be followed by one-to-one surgeries with the Trusts and Foundations.
Confirmed Trusts and Foundations attending in 2020 include: BBC Children in Need, Community Foundation for Northern Ireland, Paul Hamlyn Foundation, Halifax Foundation, Ulster Garden Villages, The National Lottery Community Fund and Garfield Weston Foundation.
How to Apply:
Following feedback from the Trusts, Arts & Business NI strongly advise you to take the time to research the Trusts, reviewing their priority areas for funding and also eligibility guidelines before requesting a surgery.
To register to attend please complete the following survey by 5pm on Tuesday 10th March which identifies the Trusts & Foundations you would like to meet face-to-face – apply for one-to-one surgeries via the survey linked here (max. 3 surgeries per organisation)
Please be aware that:
- Each one-to-one surgery will last 20 minutes.
- Places will be allocated strictly on a first come first served basis
- The participating Trusts are primarily focused on meeting new organisations, therefore if you had a surgery with one of the attending Trusts last year you may not be eligible for a surgery with them this year
To support your preparation for the event, Arts & Business NI will be holding a Trusts & Foundations Clinic on the 10th March at the Crescent Arts Centre 9.30 – 11.30. Fundraisers will be on hand at the session to work with you to help you make sense of guidelines and give advice on how best to prepare for a surgery and ultimately an application. You can book your place at this session here.
