Arts Council NI – Board Members

The Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure is calling for applications from those wishing to contribute to the arts by being members of the board of the Arts Council and at the same time to have a fulfilling experience in a high profile public body.

Applications for the position of Vice-Chair and Board Members of the Arts Council of Northern Ireland are welcome from a wide range of people who have an interest in public service, including those with experience gained in the community and voluntary sector, public or private sector. Applications from practising artists, women, those with a disability and people from minority ethnic groups are particularly welcome and previous board experience is not required.

Applicants for both the Vice-Chair and Member positions must be able to demonstrate an interest in the arts, experience in corporate governance, strategic planning and commitment to equality and social inclusion. Candidates for the position of Vice-Chair will also be expected to demonstrate considerable leadership experience in addition to strong communication and interpersonal skills.

The deadline for receipt of applications is 12 noon on Friday 2nd October.
