The North Belfast Lantern Parade & Magical Festival is an annual project delivered by New Lodge Arts. This years festival will take place on 28th & 29th October 2015 to an anticipated audience of 4000.
New Lodge Arts are currently seeking performers for the following aspects of this year’s festival:
– Festival performers – Day activities
From 12pm-4pm on the 28th and 29th October, there will be an array of activities and performances taking place in the Park.
– Parade Performers – 29th October 2015
This year’s Parade will assemble at 6.00pm in the Crumlin Road Gaol and make its way along Cliftonpark Avenue to the Waterworks Park. The Parade will include a mix of performers and children & young people who have completed the Lantern Making outreach programme. Performers will be expected to be included in the Parade and continue into the Waterworks Park to perform as part of the Parade Finale.
– Magical Garden Performers – 29th October 2015 Evening Activities
The Waterworks Park will include a Magical Garden area filled with an array of walkabout performance and street theatre acts. The performers will be expected to perform in the space from 6.00pm – 8.30pm.
New Lodge Arts are looking for paid or voluntary performers to take part in the festival.
