Creative Learning Summer Student Acting Course at the Lyric Theatre

The Lyric Theatre’s Creative Learning Department is running a summer training course in acting for post-GCSE students:

This year, we are offering a unique opportunity for post-GCSE students* to get an insight into professional theatre training.

If you are considering a career in acting, this is a chance to find out more and help you make up your mind!

This 2 week course from 17th – 28th July (Monday-Friday) will feature workshops on voice, movement, physical theatre, acting and audition technique,  invaluable to A Level students or those applying to Drama School in the next year. Participants will then work on monologues and duologues, which they will then present to an audience in the Lyric’s Naughton Studio on the final day of the course.

The course will begin each day at 10:00am and finish and 4:00pm

Please note that on the final day (Friday 28th July) the course will begin at 2:00pm and the showcase of work will be at 7:00pm.

Places on the course are limited and will be offered to suitably motivated applicants after interview and audition.  Total cost for the course is £200.

*open to students about to start Lower 6th or Upper 6th, or who have left school this year.
