Disability and the Arts: Rights and Pathways of Support for Artists – An All-island gathering, 1st March, Lanyon Building, QUB

This event aims to gather together practitioners, policymakers and researchers to discuss disability within the arts in an informal, conversational setting. Collectively, we will explore:

  • The experiences and developmental needs of disabled artists on the island of Ireland
  • The needs of arts programmers in supporting those artists
  • The challenges to career sustainability for artists

The gathering will provide an opportunity to network as well as explore interest in establishing further exchange of practice and research collaborations across the island.

Our goal is to keep this first gathering small in order to develop a focused discussion around needs and interests. It would be our hope that things would build from here.

1st March, 10am – 4pm (coffee at 10am, start at 10:30am)
