Composer and lecturer John Godfrey has worked in New Music for more than 30 years. He is the founder of Quiet Music Ensemble, which is dedicated to improvised and experimental music and has developed an international reputation for its radical stance. He also works as an independent improvisor and has appeared with notable exponents such as Pauline Oliveros and David Toop.
This free workshop will focus on developing an expanded pallet of sonorities, group interplay and listening strategies in contemporary free improvisation and is open to anyone who works creatively with sound in real-time, including musicians, sound artists, installation artists and sound designers.
