Louise Parker- Recipient of TheatreNI Bursary for Dublin Theatre Festival

Between 24th September and 12th October Theatre NI’s bursary allowed me to attend seven events at the Dublin Theatre festival.

I attended an audio-tour at 14 Henrietta Place called Blue Blue Walls. The piece was an excellent example (the best I have ever seen) of what can be achieved through historical bodies really collaborating with artists and investing in creating a quality piece of theatre in tour format.

Overall attending the Dublin Theatre Festival sharpened my critical abilities, gave me a stronger sense of what works on stage and what doesn’t, allowed me to attend productions at venues I have never been to before, has made me feel more connected to the work happening in the south and given me a clearer understanding of the kind of work I want to do in my career.
