Opportunity to work with Dumbworld LTD as Project Development Manager.

Job Title: Project & Development Manager

Term: 4 days per week for 9 months from 1st July 2019.

Key Responsibilities:

Summary

Working alongside the Company Manager and the Artistic Directors, the Project & Development Manager will assist with the day-to-day running of the business to include administering funding applications, managing enquiries via phone and email, assistance with administration of accounts and the development and delivery of projects. This will include budgeting, funding draw-downs and reports, marketing and Public Relations, assist with community participation and access, venue preparation for performances and on going and post project evaluations.

Key Tasks

● Research and keep up to date with funding opportunities in UK, Ireland and internationally.

● Coordinate and administer funding applications and ensure deadlines are met.

● Assist with managing on going arts projects.

● Administer everyday activities and ensure compliance to funding.

● Assist with budgets for various projects.

● Manage and arrange for all employee travels and processes required for reimbursements.

● Develop and maintain knowledge on all office technologies.

● Managing enquiries via phone or email.

● Maintain a transparency for grant funding.

● Liaise with the accountant and book keeper.

● To assist with marketing and PR.

● Where appropriate to recruit and train volunteers.

● To assist with reporting regularly to funders presenting regular written and financial reports and complying with all regulations associated with drawing down funds.

● To assist with regular reports to the board, presenting finances and up to date cash flows and written reports.

● Present a positive, professional image of the company with all customers and suppliers, internal and external.

Person Specification

Essential Experience

At least THREE years experience in the following:

● Project Management of Arts projects.

● Working with and administering public sector funding.

● Working with a diverse range of arts and cultural organisations and bodies.

Knowledge

● Experience in the daily management of an arts business.

● Knowledge of applying for and processing public sector funding.

● Knowledge of event management and health and safety issues.

● Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Skills and Qualities

● Excellent oral and written communication skills.

● Ability to engage people and generate enthusiasm and participation.

● Well-organised with the ability to multi-task and work to strict deadlines.

● Ability to work on own initiative and be self-motivated.

● Excellent attention to detail.

● Commitment to good team working.

● Good minute taking and report writing skills.

● Clean driving licence and access to car.

Desirable

● A good knowledge of the Northern Ireland arts sector and supporting bodies.

● Experience of working in music/technology/arts events.

The successful candidate will be given a formal offer of work that will be conditional on receiving two acceptable references.
