The Apprentices will be assigned to a board, with a board buddy, and undertake training to enhance their knowledge and understanding. The Boardroom Apprentice will function as a board-level observer for a 12-month placement. There is also a series of training sessions.

Who can apply?

This programme is about attracting new people onto board positions in our public and third sectors. This programme is open to anyone over the age of 16 as long as you have not held a public board position and have had little or no third sector board experience.

What is the cost to do this programme?

There is no cost for the apprentice for this pilot programme. What is asked though in return is commitment to the fullness of the programme, a willingness to learn and a desire to give back.

An application process has been developed to select apprentices for the recruited Boardroom Apprentice friendly boards.

Applications for eligible participants closes on Tuesday 6thJune 2017.
