Upcoming events with Arts & Business NI

Throughout February and March, Arts & Business NI are hosting a number of information and development events. Please see below for some of the sessions coming up over the next two months.

Achates Philanthropy Prize

13th February 2020, 9.30am – 10.45am

Lyric Theatre, Ridgeway Street, Belfast BT9 5FB

Have you worked with a new business partner for the first time, or are you about to embark on a new sponsorship? Could that partnership be award winning? The Achates Philanthropy Prize is the only annual award that celebrates first-time cultural giving in the UK. Each year two awards are presented, one for first-time individual philanthropy, and one for first-time corporate partnerships. The winning arts organisations in each category receive a £5,000 grant, and their nominated individual or company becomes the custodian of one of the two prize sculptures for the year.

Northern Ireland Opera was awarded an Achates Philanthropy Prize bursary in 2019, which will support expert fundraising training facilitated by an Achates Prize Ambassador.

Come along to the event in the Lyric to hear from Caroline McCormick, of the Achates Philanthropy Foundation, who explain how the prize works and share her experiences as a fundraiser.
